Whitefish Community Library

The Whitefish Community Library is a spacious, beautiful building. There is plenty of room to read in a relaxing setting or get online at one of the computer stations. The library hosts many activities for people of all ages. Check the website- www.whitefishlibrary.org for information.

More About this Attraction or Experience

A library in today’s world is much more than a repository for printed materials. One of the increasingly important roles the Whitefish Community Library will carry out in the coming future is to serve as a portal to online information and databases. Libraries of the last century housed shelf after shelf of encyclopedias, automobile repair manuals, and a host of other reference materials.

Today, all of that information is available online, and the Whitefish Community Library is pleased to offer you a broad range of opportunities to find the information you want and need. Please take this opportunity to browse through what is available, and please let us know if you don’t find what you want.

Donate Money or Other Valuable Items

The Whitefish Community Library welcomes the donation of cash or other items of value to assist in the start-up costs of transitioning to an independent community-based library, and to supplement the taxpayer support for the library. The WCL Board of Trustees have chosen to direct all such donations to the Whitefish Library Association, whose purpose is to collect and manage funds for the betterment of the Whitefish Library.

There are a number of areas in which your donation may assist. If you direct your monetary donation to a particular need, please be assured, your gifts will be put to that purpose to the greatest extent possible. The areas we’ve identified are:

Long-term Endowment Fund

Capital Planning (Building Expansion / Construction)

Purchase of Books and Other Collection Needs

Support of Programming for Different Age or Interest Groups

Start-up / Transition Costs

Wherever Needs Are Greatest

Please email us regarding your intended donation, and someone representing the Whitefish Library Association on behalf of the Whitefish Community Library will be in touch with you to work out the details of when and how your donation may be accepted. Please include your phone number in your email so that we can reach you by phone, unless you prefer only an email response.

All donations made to benefit the Whitefish Community Library are tax deductible, as the Whitefish Community Library is a public entity. Donations can also be made to the Whitefish Library iAssociation, which is an IRS recognized 501©(3) organization. An acknowledgement receipt of your donation will be made by the Association. Neither the Library nor the Association can place a value on your non-monetary donated items for tax purposes. Please keep a detailed record of your donations, and if you are uncertain of the value of your donations for tax purposes, please consult your accountant or tax advisor.
