The Durfees: Saving a Montana Public Land Treasure details the efforts of a small group of central Montanans to block a land transfer proposed by the billionaire Wilks brothers that could have eliminated access to thousands of acres of prime elk habitat. The film, produced by Bozeman-based Mission: Montana, also explores the growing land transfer agenda and how it threatens public access and conservation in the west. The film was made in collaboration with Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, Traditional Bowhunters of Montana, Vortex Optics, and OnX Maps.
